Dogtoberfest 2009

Everyone should come out to Dogtoberfest this Sunday in the Oakhurst neighborhood! I designed the logo for it, and I'm going to have a booth where I'm selling some shirts, prints, magnets and some other stuff. It's to raise money for them to get a dog park in their area... so come out and see it and visit me :)

Design Inspiration

I am inspired by a lot of different styles. I don't really have specific artists that I am inspired by, but I do have websites that I go to whenever I need inspiration.

My top choice is Design Sponge. I love this site. She posts so much stuff, and my favorites are the awesome patterns and graphic-like illustrations. Here are a few images that have given me inspiration from the site...

Contemporary Trends in Graphic Design

One trend that I have noticed a lot lately is adding flourishes to designs. They are added not only to logos, but also to other designs, including advertisements, posters, illustrations, websites, etc.
